Fiona Krautil 
Fiona is one of Australia’s leading diversity practitioners. Her achievements in diversity, which span the private and public sectors, followed her initial career as a microbiologist at the Victorian Department of Agriculture. Prior to joining ANZ as Head of Head of Advancement of Women and Diversity Australasia, Fiona was CEO of the Asthma Foundation of NSW. Between 1999 and 2004, Fiona was Federal Director of the Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency (EOWA). Between 1997 and 1999, Fiona was Head of Diversity at Westpac where she led the ‘leading practice’ diversity process. Fiona was Equal Opportunity Manager at Esso Australia from 1991 to 1997.
Fiona’s big tip: Don’t ask permission for things that you already have authority to do! We need to be decisive and inform people of our decisions when we are fully authorized to make those decisions – without having to ask everyone if its OK!
