Alphaplus – Coming in 2009!

We would like to congratulate Telstra in being the first company in the world to look at gender diversity in a unique way – focusing on assisting men with their journey in understanding the differences between the genders.  emberin is proud to have been able to work with Telstra in the creation of a program in the same style as our women’s program – My Mentor – Challenging Women to Step Up.  The program is exclusively available to men at Telstra for now.  In 2009, emberin will be launching a version of this which is more broadly available – so please let us know if you would like some information when it is available.

The program is called -  Alphaplus, men: mastering gender leadership.  emberin is very proud to be associated with the creation of this program.  As a leading Australian gender diversity expert, Maureen is passionate about including men in the gender diversity strategy of leading companies throughout the world.  emberin conducted a body of research in association with the creation of this program which will be released shortly.

Telstra is also dedicated to supporting its women – and to this end, they have continued to rollout the my mentor program for women to large numbers of women throughout the company.  Telstra knows that intertwining dual approaches is how we can really make a difference in the much vexed issue of closing the gender gap in the corporate world.

Maureen is a former Telstra Business Woman of the Year, entrepreneur, speaker and mother of twin daughters who has created a highly successful women's mentorship program called my mentor – challenging women to step up.  Maureen is honoured to collaborate with Telstra to create this masterclass program specifically for men to help them master the art of gender leadership - particularly as she gives credit to many great men for the success of her own career.
